William Hill and IGT Strive for Online Gambling License Approval in Nevada

IGT Receives Preliminary Sanction for Online Gaming License
International Gaming Technology (IGT) has been given a preliminary approval from the Gaming Commission inNevada. The Control Board for State Gaming has reiterated that other countries have already authorized and regulated online gaming services. IGT is the first gambling operator that has been issued a license by a regulation authority in theUS. The news of the license approval comes a few days after Bally Technologies received a similar approval.
Nevada Gaming Board Chairman Keen on Apt Security Measures
Mark Lipparelli, the Board Chairman of Nevada Gaming Commission, is pleased with the sanction but added that this is only the first step in a long and arduous procedure. The online gambling operator should present its technology and game setup to the testing board in the state.
This is to determine the security of the software where the operator should prove that only players in the state who are above the legal age will be allowed access to the online games. IGT Questioned on Previous Acquisitions
